冬至 － Winter Solstice
It means either of the two occasions in the year
when the sun is directly above either
the furthest point north or the furthest point south
of the equator that it ever reaches.
一年中有兩種情況：太陽位於赤道以北最遠那一點，
或者位於赤道以南的最遠一點。
These are the times in the year,
in the middle of the summer or winter,
when there are the longest hours of day or night.
這是每年的夏季或冬季時段的中間，
而當天白天或黑夜的時間最長。

The origins of this festival can be traced back to
the yin and yang philosophy of balance
and harmony in the cosmos.

After this celebration,
there will be days with longer daylight hours and
therefore an increase in positive energy flowing in.
在冬至過後，日照的時間一天比一天長了，

The winter solstice is one of
the most important days of the year,
a day for family togetherness.
冬至比過年還重要，冬至一年中最重要的一天，
是家族團聚的一天。🏠
On this day,
people in the northern part of China will eat dumplings.
People in southern China will make and eat tangyuan,
or rice dumplings, to symbolize the reunion of family.
在這天，中國北方會吃餃子，
南方則會包湯圓和吃湯圓，以象徵團圓。💕
冬至必吃食物
glutinous rice ball 湯圓
dumpling 餃子
wonton 餛飩
red-bean and glutinous rice 紅豆糯米粥
雖然在疫情下，很多人不一定可以跟家人做冬團圓🥺😭
